Workshop at Southern Africa Bible College

03/05/2023
Today we had our leadership workshop for Bible school teachers, preachers and elders. The turn out was amazing as they only planned on about 150 meals and they ended up serving 240. Over 160 participants showed up for this great event. The group was split up into ladies classes teaching children and ladies, preachers, elders, and teaching teens and adults. It was a busy day as we had about eight sessions going on at once and four time blocks in these sessions. I got to be with the preachers and alternate teaching with Ryan from Oklahoma. He did a fantastic job encouraging the brotherhood, I talked about preaching the word. Also had a small class teaching about prison ministry, which I know little about but that is what the participant wanted to know about. Gave him the information I knew about and gave encouragement there. A lady from Togo named Enyo joined our team from America and taught ladies how to reach out to ladies. She has a wonderful ministry in Togo teaching the french speacking community there. Had great lunch fellowship and finally had the opportunity to see many of the preachers and elders and workers I met last time I was here. Songezo was a delight and invited me to his home after the workshop to discuss his new work and plans for the future. This was a very busy day and we ended it by getting pizza for the students and workers and enjoyed some games with the students before bed. Looking forward to worshiping with Songezo tomorrow at his new church plant.
